My Study Plan during the MSc Human Computer Interaction
I chose Human Computer Interaction to learn more about the psychology behind interactions. Courses such as Quantitative Research Methods, Cognitive and Social Psychology and Technologies for Learning were strongly focused on this perspective.
During the master, this turned out to be the aspect I enjoyed the least. I discovered that I am more motivated by creating things and iterating through a design process. Courses such as Interaction Technology Innovation, Multimodal Interaction and Information Visualization allowed me to explore this creative side, while still grounding decisions in theory.
Together, these courses shaped me into an HCI professional. They also helped me understand what kind of designer I want to become, and which aspects of HCI fit me less. The timeline below shows how these courses build on each other across the master.
